StudioSilog is an independent design studio led by Chris Abueg, based in San Francisco.

I work closely with nonprofits, researchers, advocacy groups, and cultural institutions -- organizations where design isn't decoration, it's infrastructure. My background is in fine art and institutional design, trained at The Cooper Union and forged at the Brooklyn Museum. That foundation shapes how I work: with rigor, intention, and genuine care for the people the work is meant to reach.

Past clients include UC Berkeley's Othering & Belonging Institute, UC San Francisco, Wikimedia NYC, YouthSpeaks, and the People's Climate Innovation Center.

The name comes from Silog -- my favorite Filipino breakfast built on staples: garlic rice, egg, and whatever protein is on hand. Familiar, adaptable, made with care. Good design works the same way.

Created Work for

Chris Abueg is phenomenal to work with. He approaches everything with an artist's curiosity and perspective. I've been managing nonprofit communications for over 20 years now and he is one of the best.

Design choices that he recommended made the book infinitely better. It was an absolute pleasure working with Chris and I highly recommend his design services.
